AVL H3 Trail #31 Hash Trash 

The AVL H3 is on a roll!!  Yet another kick ass (I mean shitty) trail.  A virgin hare, now known as Indy Animal Will Do and OB-3 gave long, winding tour of the Warren Wilson campus followed by some b-a-u-tiful trails over the hills and through the woods then down along the Swannanoa River and finally to a friend of the hare's house on campus.

The pack was away in due fashion with Mount Hee bringing his usual crowd of NFNs, all of which were fun and up to the trail.  Once off, the hares pulled trickery on the hounds by leading the pack towards a trail head but quickly turning them back towards campus (initially) which confused the lead hounds.  Digital ANALyst, who had been DFL after some time fondling his dog, found the true trail and through campus the pack was led.  NFN Jamie and a few others were able to zen though part of the winding paths until we left campus and began a long hike down Riceville Rd where Puke-N-Squat was finally able to join us.  Feeling like Frogger, we dodged cars and bovine alike only to end up in a field with a loooong uphill climb under the hot WNC sun then back into the woods.  The trail wound around to near the start but the pack was again head-faked up, up, up through a half mile of poison everything!  Yahoo! Once our exhausted virgins made it to the top, down we came on a nice trail, back though another part of campus and then back into the woods.  Up one side of a mountain and switchbacks down the other.  Three of our more "competitive" hounds, NFN Linsey and NFN Eric (the 3rd shall remain nameless) blew right past a beer check manned by OB-3.  A stunningly beautiful run along the river led us back to the main road where yet another long uphill climb awaited the pack.   We finally ended up a quarter mile from the start in a backyard destined for an AVL H3 Religion.

Virgin's and Visitors were honored at Religion, the hares were desecrated and violations were abound.  Most importantly, one of our most beloved harrierettes, previously NFN Jen, received the (hence forth and forever more) name of Indy Animal Will Do (from her veterinarian experience and leaving us for Indiana in a few weeks).  As the beer ran dry, most of the pack went to On Afters at a nearby brothel.
